Overview

IUPUI is just starting to break the surface of innovation and entreprenureship. Even though we have a few classes and competitions we really didn't have a basis of innovation on our campus.

IUPUI Student Efforts

Student have been trying for a few years to have more of a push for I&E on campus. It proved to be difficlult as club and student organizations formed but either died out or had very low to no attendence. Recently, a devoted group of individuals started the studetn organization, The Brain trust, which has started the ball rolling, from the student end, as the campus tries to switch into ans innovative mindset.

The main goal of the Brain Trust at IUPUI is to provide an environment for students to bring ideas into action. Even though this student organization has only been around for one semester, these 12 students have already begun to bring a designated innovation space to IUPUI and are now in the planning stages of a real structure. Beyond that, they hope to continue to bring students from very fragmented backgrounds and disciplines together to focus on singular projects to improve and contribute to IUPUI.
