A stakeholder must be broad-minded and should be able to think from everyone's perspective. He should be able to confidently put forward the facts and issues that will effect the lives of people. He should be accepting change and have a strong entrepreneurial mindset. He must be someone that really feels the need to change the things for better. He or she must be able to understand the role of other people in the meeting. Finally, they must be sharing the risks and benefits together

Aim to build relationships early on with the key decision makers and involve them in shaping the training strategy and approach. Share your vision of what success will look like and give a 'big picture' view of where you are heading. Regularly meet with key stakeholders who are resistant to the change and the training. Involve and consult with them so that their concerns can be voiced and at the same time take the opportunity to re-emphasise the benifits of the change.
