Merle is studying International Management and Engineering at Hamburg University of Technology and is part of the cohort 2019. She has a bachelor’s degree in Energy and Environmental Management, is interested in renewable energies and further sustainable solutions. In her master’s degree, she focuses on technology management, worked in the Institute of Technology and Innovation Management, participated in a Design Thinking Workshop and supported a project in which the analogy method is applied for an open innovation approach.

Merle likes to explore things. She went twice for a semester abroad in Asia. She likes to meet and work with different people. In her opinion you can learn from anyone; especially if people are fundamentally different. Traveling has enriched her mindset.
