Nyssa Wedgeworth is a student at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis, double majoring in Spanish and American Sign Language Interpreting. She will graduate with her double bachelors in 2021, and hopes to pursue her Masters at Gallaudet University in Washington DC. Her hobbies include watching movies, reading, and talking about Halloween. Nyssa wants to incorporate the UIF program into her life by using design thinking to create human-oriented solutions to minority injustice in jailing systems, utilizing interpreting as a bridge between the minority groups and the dominant culture. One of Nyssa's life goals is to travel the world in search of new ideas, inspiration, and cultural appreciation.
