Originally from Los Angeles in California, Emmely resides in Oakland,CA where she attends school. Currently, she holds many leaderships positions on campus including Student Government President for the Associated Students of Mills College, as well as co-president of the Central American Student Alliance. In her spare time, she works with high schol youth in Upward Bound.
