GHCI is India’s largest technical conference for women in computing and technology.

With over 50 sponsors, GHCI 17 career fair presents a great opportunity for women

technologists to explore technology careers across India and across industries.The Grace

Hopper Celebration, named after computer scientist Grace Hopper, is organized by the Anita Borg

Institute for Women and Technology and the Association for Computing Machinery.

Purpose

The Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing (GHC) is a series of conferences designed

to bring the research and career interests of women in computing to the forefront.this program is To

showcase women makingExceptional, world-changing.

Accomplishments in tech It is the world's largest gathering of women in computing. It helps women

make significant contributions to technical fields.connect, inspire and guide

women in computing and organizations that view technology innovation as a

strategic imperative.

Distinct Differences From Other Offerings

There are various offerings in India. Mainly offers for women although many of them are focusing on uneducated women to make their life comfotable by providing a way to make money by doing small bussiness

However GHC is the only forum is for getting skilled women on technical skills so,that those can become leader in IT sector

This is the one of the best platform to exibit their skills and new innovation and they get support and they be encouraged and to exibit more technologies

Impact Achieved For Students and Campus

The Kamala-AnitaB.org Scholarship sends 25 underrepresented students to the

Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC), the world’s largest gathering of women

technologists.

The ACM Student Research Competition is an internationally recognized contest

where undergraduate and graduate students present their original research.Our

committee selected 22 students to participate in this competition at this

year’s Grace Hopper Celebration Poster Session. A panel of judges selected

three undergraduate students and three graduate students as the winners, all of

whom received a cash prize for their incredible work. 

Student gain Practical experience to help them better understand strategic and tactical

issues facing nonprofit boards

Notes About How This Resource is Deployed

In the year 2016 and before as per statics  it is observed that women technologists employes learning the corporate and organaistation

The attrition rate was more compared to men technologists after the women who are joined in GHC in  2017 programme their confidence level build up.They were self motivated and they were ready to face any challanges.Thus shows the result and women attrition rate is also reduced

The women who utilises GHC programme which is conducted every year are observed in all top companies
