Founded in 1867, Morgan State University is a Carnegie classified Doctoral Research Institution offering more than 70 academic programs leading to bachelor’s degrees as well as programs at the masters and doctoral levels. As Maryland’s Public Urban Research University, Morgan serves a multi-ethnic and multi-racial student body and seeks to ensure that the doors of higher education are opened as wide as possible to as many as possible.

The annual showcase of faculty and student research and industrial development offers an interactive opportunity for lawmakers and citizens to learn more about Morgan’s strategic plans for commercializing science and technological innovation for Maryland’s emerging STEM industries.

Arlene Maclin
Arlene Maclin is an adjunct professor of physics at Morgan State University. She currently leads the the Mid-Atlantic Consortium-Center for Academic Excellence (MAC-CAE) aims at educating students interested in areas of national security and intelligence studies. The MAC-CAE is a workforce development effort for the intelligence community with an emphasis on the South Asian region of the world.
The University Technology Transfer Function
Morgan State University is in great need of a technology office and a center where all constituents of Morgan State University can connect in the theme of "entrepreneurship and innovation". The University Innovation collective will continue to push these needs to ensure future possibilities.
