BIO
Fang Shi is a freshman at the Georgia Institute of Technology, studying Biomedical Engineering. His family is from China, but he has spent most of his life in Georgia, first in Augusta and now in Atlanta. In the future, he would potentially like to pursue a career in academia. He is interested in participating in the University Innovation Fellowship in order to develop his abilities as a student leader and work with leaders in the student body and faculty at Tech.
Outside of class, he is involved with the American Medical Students Association, Tech's student newspaper and Engineers Without Borders' Uganda team, which is working on creating wells for communities. In his free time, he enjoys swimming, playing the piano, and sleeping. He also has three cats.
