Mallory Britz is a sophomore studying Biochemical Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines (CSM). Mallory is also minoring in Biomedical Engineering at CSM to pursue her interest in medicine as well as mathematics. As a sophomore, Mallory has been able to aid a current UIF, Corey Brugh, by piloting a themed learning community based around the 14 Grand Challenges. With the help of Corey, Mallory has also been able to connect with administrators to begin work on getting a Grand Challenge Scholars Program started at CSM. Apart from her involvement in the Grand Challenges through the scholars program and themed learning community, Mallory hopes to change the type of engineer Mines is known for producing. Mallory is passionate about making a difference in the world and helping others and she hopes to be able to help other pursue their passions by pursuing her own. On campus, Mallory is a member of the Society of Women Engineers, Pi Beta Phi sorority, AIChE, and residence life.
