Serves as the Vice President of Society Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) chapter at California State University, Northridge. In this organization we emphasize in community service and providing Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics (STEM) awareness to every community. Diego has also been acquiring some industry experience as former quality engineering intern and planner & currently a product development engineering intern. The jobs are helping Diego a lot in teaching and having experience in real engineering from the concept of business. At the moment, Diego also plays a big role in my senior design team as we are currently in the making of our Hybrid Layered Manufacturing 3D (HLM3D) machine which will have both fuctions as a CNC mill and a 3D printer. This will be our prototype which we will compete this semester against other schools. Finally, Diego decided to take a role as a University Innovation Fellow because Diego knew it was meant to be since the start in the sense of innovation and entrepeneurship due to the fact that a lot of people are not exposed. Diego's goal is to exposed as many people as he can on these topics and to never feel fear on what people's instincts are saying.
