Jay Kumar is a student, tinkerer, and aspiring entrepreneur pursuing his Bachelor’s in electrical engineering. After taking a diversity and education course in his senior year of high school, Jay witnessed the flaws in our current education model firsthand. Following the wisdom of his grandfather, he started focusing on developing himself as a person, eschewing the “rat race” of the education-industrial complex, to create the life he wants for himself. Currently, Jay is working with a team to build a website spanning the NYU school system that will allow both students and professors to connect and collaborate on their ideas. He's also working to increase student internship/research oppurtunities within the engineering school. In his personal time, Jay enjoys strength training, reading, cooking and getting lost in New York City while using Google Maps.
