Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada and now residing in Palo Alto, CA, Lina is pursuing a bachelor's in entrepreneurship and innovation at Menlo College. She jumps at any opportunity to engage with the leaders of tomorrow which has included leading a design thinking session on the Five Lenses of Innovation for 9th-12th graders at [https://www.designtechhighschool.org/ d.tech].

I’m passionate about community engagement and public service, so much that I earned my Master’s in Public Administration from UNLV (Go Rebels❗️). Along the way, I worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in the College of Education and had a blast connecting with fellow students as a Grad Rebel Ambassador. I'm currently working in the Community Services & Engagement department at the City of North Las Vegas, supporting vibrant events, meaningful outreach, and projects that connect our community to valuable resources! 🤝🏼
  
Being both Swedish 🇸🇪 and Mexican 🇲🇽 she has learned to embraced the ambiguity of identity and explored different avenues to find where she belongs through civic engagement. With this, she applied and was accepted into the ELLA program through the Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley to work on a 6-month project to empower non-profits that focus on environmental justice, as it relates to health disparities in the Bay Area latinx community.

Lina is passionate about social impact and how we can leverage these exciting new technologies with human-centered design. After graduating from Menlo College in December 2022, she hopes to pursue a JD/MBA to accelerate her impact on her peers and the world 🌎

Hey everyone, here’s a little bit about me! 💫

I’m passionate about community engagement and public service, so much that I earned my Master’s in Public Administration from UNLV (Go Rebels❗️).
