2. Is there any training with the tools provided? at least the basic stuff until they got the hang of it.
3. Is your makeathon a great success? If so can you share more about your event such as the schedule, feedback from participants, how many people come to this event, and so on

This idea is very reminiscent of the "Quarter-Scale Tractor" project/competition where mechanics, engineers, fabricators, and others work together to create a miniature functioning tractor. This is a great way to promote inclusivity and allow people from many different backgrounds to communicate and work together to learn and build something together.
 
== Creating a community ==
 
I love the concept behind a Makeathon. The event would inspire collaboration and students to branch out from their day to day activities. Students and colleges at universities can be cliquey so events that bring people out of their own groups are key.
