=== OVERVIEW History===[[File:BOUN Founders.jpg|thumb|right|Founders of Bogazici University|link=Special:FilePath/BOUN_Founders.jpg]]<div><br/></div><div>Boğaziçi University was founded in Istanbul,Turkey as Robert College in 1863 by Dr.Cyrus Hamlin,an educator, inventor, technician, architect and builder, and Mr. Christopher Rheinlander Robert, a well-known philanthropist and a wealthy merchant from New York. In March 1971, Rector John Scott Everton revealed the resolution passed on January 26, 1971, by the Board of Trustees to the effect that the Turkish government should be encouraged to establish an independent university as a successor to Robert College on either of the campuses. The merger was finalized in the summer of 1971. It has a culture which promotes students to colloborate and create changes in all fields. Besides this, promoting diversity of student innovation and entrepreneurship is clubs encourage students to work on development stagetheir interests. Turkey Bogazici University hosts 43 Clubs and each student club has to organize an event at least once a week. Thanks to the I&E ecosystem of Bogazici University, most of the student clubs have no trouble finding the money for their events and can have a big impact although the school doesn't provide any official support. Almost all students are a common belief member of at least of buildign your own company one student club, and this improves their creativity in these clubs by organizing events, and applying their skills. In the macro view, BRIGHT (The Entrepreneurship Center) is running the entrepreneurship side of the school by giving a risk which is not necessary maker space for entrepreneurs, and funding them to takeinnovate more. Being an engineer is more valuable BRIGHT (The Entrepreneurship Center) defines entrepreneurship as a mindset, a mentality, and meaningful than being a perspective beyond establishing a company. In this way, they set out to show how anyone can be an entrepreneur, no matter where they are and what they are doing. But our university is more supportive to students to become entrepreneurs and according to They have done a lot of work since the number establishment of people who becomes successful entrepreneurs, Boğaziçi University is on the topcenter. With the program, which BRIGHT started thanks to their cooperation with Stanford University, Management & Economics Cluband to which they involved ITU and METU's Entrepreneurship committeeCenters, There are lots of successful entrepreneurs in students contribute to the entrepreneurship ecosystem from Boğaziçi University but most of themI&nbsp;E climate on campus.</div><div><br/></div> === ENCOURAGING FACULTY INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP Encouraging Faculty Innovation and Entrepreneurship===<div><br/></div><div>Faculty members of our university Boğaziçi University has always led Turkey to come up with new ideas firstly. For instance, the very first basketball game in Turkey was played in Boğaziçi University campus at 1904, and there are most likely also many other examples. Thanks to be supportive on having entrepreneurial mind and being innovative as seen that this leadership, most succesfull students of the successful entrepreneurs Turkey usually prefer to study in the entrepreneurship ecosystem are from Boğaziçi University, this also helps instructors and professors to make their choice for Boğaziçi University. They provide a high range of industrial network, professional mentorships, funding opportunities and coworking spaces provided by TTO's partner Bright Incubation Center. Apart from BRIGHT Incubation Center, many more incubation centers specialized into specific areas of studies were opened in last years such as BÜDOTEK, BÜ Teknopark, Cube Incubation, and Kandilli HEALTH. They do not only help social innovations but also student's high tech projects. They help getting patent and licence processes to BOUN students who own a business idea. They offer education on setting up a company and funding opportunities, and work with academicians and students who'll set up a company. There are also many student clubs which organize many events in partnership with different companies, and start-up. Thanks to these events, because students can get the chance of finding internships, and to see what the network companies are working about in detail. For instance, COMPEC, IT club of BrightBoğaziçi, crowdfunding is has a common method in wide industry network that let students see the dynamics of how industry works and how industrial trends are differentiating according to demands of people. Hundreds of events are being organized at Boğaziçi Universitythanks to both student clubs and instructors who have a industry background. Prominent business people The Alumni Center (BUMED) is also a key part of Turkey who are BOUN graduatesthe school in engaging with businesses by using alumni network. With that support; industries, always replies when a startup needs funding. It and university members may not seem sustainable but far now it's working properlybe at the same place to collaborate in different topics. Bright Entrepreneurship Center For example, Sector Days, which is 4 day long event, is now developing new organized with the help of BÜMED at Boğaziçi University.
