Bio
Akiho is an undergraduate law student studying at Sophia University, Tokyo. She lived in Kanagawa, Japan for 15 years and she moved to Victoria, BC Canada as an international student. As a law student, she will be narrowing down her studying topic to business law. She has a strong passion in discovering methods to maximize powers each individual holds in their hand through projects. She currently lives in Japan where she sees more and more opportunities for innovation, movements and changes led by youth. Akiho herself is a leader of a new founded project which aims to develop solutions for gender inequality in workspace. She has an adventurous and curious personality. She has a proactive attitude in a team and she also feels comfortable to lead projects.
Achievements
Akiho has founded a student organization at her home university in 2019. She is the head of the operations team and as part of the organization, she has held a workshop about campus sustainability, and currently, her main project focuses on gender equality in Japan. In her first university year, she also completed a short term political science program in Paris.
