Resource nights are part of a 6 week program that offers students the chance to talk to alumni that have created start-ups. They are held in the spring and run the first 6 weeks into the spring semester. The background of the speakers are varied and they offer valuable insight of various topics. This program is limited to students that are taking specific courses at WSU. The goal would be to open this up to all disciplines Opportunities already exist on the campus and give students within STEM programs have the oppertunities potential to gain shift the same knowledgeway WSU teaches I&E in the classroom.

At WSU there The Frank Innovation Zone (FIZ) is a lack of creativity within engineering. Many students feel there is not a place to create and that most courses have trained the students to sit at a deskfirst WSU maker space intended for multidisciplinary groups. If an innovation space is created on Existing in the WSU campus it will help to promote excitement in STEM programs and will inspire students to reach beyond engineering building, the classroom. A plan of action FIZ has already been taken on the WSU campus several tools to make this feasible. A proposal by a Professor has been submitted help bring student ideass to the University for approval of a particular space of campus that will accommodate the needs of students and centered in the engineering hub. With this plan moving forward a space should be obtained and ready for use next year. life:

TedX offers WSU the opportunity to create a community on our campus and share thoughts on innovation to inspire the next generation. The plan Strategic Plan #2: Increasing Awareness of action is to apply for a TedX license and plan through the TedX manual. The hardest part of planning a TedX at our campus is finding speakers and sponsors due to our campuses location. Resources
===
These plans focus on what can happen within the next year at WSU. === Pitch Workshop and Resource Awareness: === Many students at WSU have great ideas for engineering designs, potential businesses, or interesting projects to work on. The problem, however, is that many of these students do not know how to refine their ideas or access some of the resource's we have on campus. Our plan is to create the first WSU pitch workshop where students will have the ability to work with like-minded individuals on an idea while also getting coaching from experts in various fields. At the pitch workshops, there will be a special focus on promoting awareness for WSU resources. === Centralized Location for Information:
=== WSU has many different resources and great opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and even community members, but one of the main challenges is that people do not know how to find the information or resources they need. Having one central location that is a physical space that can be used to meet and collaborate with individuals across campus, and is a place where information can be physically posted would be a step in the right direction. The other option would be to create a single website where the university's resources are listed and have links to their pages, but is a place where information can be collected and shared. {{#Widget:Youtube|id=VZAC_xxxZj8}}
