Holding the title ofStartup Canada's 2015 "Young Entrepreneur of the Year", Alex is heavily involved in the Canadian startup ecosystem and has advised Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on the future of entrepreneurship and education for youth in Canada. Alex is the CEO and Co-Founder of Bitness, a retail-focused location analytics startup, enabling store management to make smarter, data-driven decisions to improve their marketing efforts, staff scheduling, and product placement through the analysis of in-store customer traffic. Aspiring to see more youth enter the business and technology space, Alex created Hoist Halifax and is now bringing entrepreneurial education to the student masses through The Next Foundry.
