Hi everyone
My name is Maria Fernanda Sagastume, but my family and friends call me “Marifer”. I am from Panama and I am a PhD student in Human-Centered Design at Florida Tech. I have a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering & STEM Education and an MBA in Healthcare Management also from Florida Tech. I am also an intern at a local Medical device company and a Resident Director at Florida Tech .
My passion is helping others and using technology in medicine to provide better diagnostics and solutions to health problems. I'm also interested in STEM Education and want to teach in the fields of Engineering and Innovation. My hobbies include rollerblading, biking, and dancing. I am a very extrovert and outdoor person.
