After studying both music and mathematics extensively in grade school, he knew he wanted to pursue a career path that is as structured as it is creative. Early research work in the field of new product development affirmed his passion for Entrepreneurial Engineering and allowed him to be involved on his campus. Participation in a local startup initiative’s university wide business pitch competition combined with working as a STEM Talent Expansion Program Mentor put him in a public position to influence the growth of innovation at WMU. When not working or studying, Zach enjoys the outdoors by trail running, playing sports, or fishing. Upon completing his degree, he looks to continue his involvement in entrepreneurial growth in Kalamazoo and West Michigan as a whole.
