Bio
Originally from the Bay Area, California, Anya moved to New Jersey to attend The College of New Jersey and explore a new part of the country. She is majoring in Biology with a minor in Public Health, pursuing a career in medicine that integrates scientific research, healthcare, and community impact.
At TCNJ, Anya conducts research under Dr. Kress in the Kress Lab, where she studies prions in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. She is also engaged in public health research examining social determinants of health and the applications of artificial intelligence in disease. Beyond her academic work, she serves as the vice president of the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) chapter, leads peer learning as a tutor, and works as a trained handler for a therapy dog, Milo.

Congressional Award Gold Medal Recipient (2023): Recognized by the United States Congress for initiative, service, and achievement.
