My name is Emma; I’m an energetic, caring, and determined student. I come from a small town outside of Raleigh, North Carolina where I spent countless nights and weekends dedicated to my passion for the sport of soccer. Currently, I am about to start my junior (3rd Year) at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia (Go Dukes!). Over my last almost 21 years I have experienced many different, some less than ideal, situations that have driven my passion and desire to help people. So because of that I am pursuing a degree in Psychology with a concentration in Industrial Organization and minoring in both Human Resources Development and Anthropology. This passion for helping translates into various aspects of my life, outside my academic community in my Greek community I serve as my sorority’s Director of Philanthropy. In this position I plan, organize, and execute various events to raise money for the Cardiac Unit at our local Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg. In my academic community I aid as a Mentor / TA for students running the Virginia / DC State First LEGO League tournament which is held annually at JMU. More recently I joined as a Student assistant for the 4-VA Initiative that focuses on connecting and collaborating with other major universities across Virginia.  I’m pretty much an open book about my life; so if you want to talk, or ask me questions, feel free to reach out to me!
