Another challenge that social entrepreneurship ecosystem face is that people don't understand how social enterprises work and how they differentiate from charities. People think that it's not ethical to get some percentage of the revenue as a service charge. They want to be sure that all of their payment will be spent to create an impact directly. However, it's not realistic to think in that way. Because social enterprises are also a kind of enterprise and need money to sustain their services. They have the finance team, the marketing team, the operations team etc. just the same as enterprises. They still have a place for net profit at their business models, but creates a social or environmental impact at the same time. Social enterprises have employees while the charities "mostly" have volunteers.
