Bio

Cara Baah-Binney was born in Accra, Ghana but raised in Cincinnati, Ohio; her early exposure to navigating life with conflicting cultural values founded her passion for intercultural competency. Cara is concurrently pursuing her Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and her Masters of Engineering in Electrical Engineering major at the University of Cincinnati. She has future passions of making an impact in the electronic device industry by innovating energy-efficient devices that are capable of preforming complex tasks with unreliable energy sources.

On her college campus, Cara is a student trustee for the UC Foundation, a Resident Advisor for the Engineering Living Learning Community, an ambassador for the College of Engineering, and she is a member of EnableUC. Outside academics and extracirriculars, Cara has a passion for sociolinguistics as well as social and environmental activism. She can always be found in the plant aisle of Lowe's or shopping for new blankets to add to her burgeoning collection.
