Daniel Delgado is a student at the University of New Haven. Daniel declared a B.S. in Civil Engineering with a minor in Sustainable Studies and plans to graduate in May of 2017. He was inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta, an honor society that recognizes academic achievement in the first year. As a student member in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Daniel is passionate about improving railway transportation in the United States with a specific focus on the Northeast Corridor. He plans to persue a P.E. (Professional Engineering License) and strives to work for MetroNorth Railroad's New Haven Division. He hopes to bring railroad infrastructure into the 21st century by combining his engineering education with his innovation and entrepreneurship skills.

On campus, Daniel is heavily involved. Currently, he serves as the Kern Entrepreneurial Engineering Network (KEEN) student coordinator and peer mentor for the University of New Haven. He has helped facilitate initiatives to integrate innovation and entrepreneurship within engineering curriculum. He works within the Engineering and Entrepreneurial Engineering Living Learning Communities to plan monthly discussion dinners, challenges, and campus events. Daniel has teamed up with three other engineers to startup a new student organization called EMpwr (Entrepreneurial Mindset Power) and currently serves as the Chapter President. Daniel enjoys sharing his passion with his collegues and constantly looks to improve and continue innovation and entrepreneurship efforts. He plans to begin a new initiative to startup a new Innovation and Entrepreneurship Living Learning Community (IE-LLC) targeted for upperclassmen.
