Danyelle Tolliver is a non-traditional college student who defied the odds and overcame various challenges to pursue higher education. As a teen mom, Danyelle faced unique obstacles but remained determined to create a better future for herself and her child. Through resilience, hard work, and a strong support system, Danyelle] has become an inspiration to others, proving that it is never too late to chase your dreams.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Danyelle experienced an unconventional start to adulthood when she became a mother at a young age. Balancing the responsibilities of parenthood while still in high school was undoubtedly challenging, but Danyelle embraced the role with unwavering dedication. Despite the societal stereotypes and judgments associated with being a teen mom, she remained focused on providing the best life possible for her child.

As a non-traditional student and former teen mom, Danyelle has become an inspiration to others facing similar circumstances by participating in BSU Student Parents Association. She actively advocates for the importance of education and the empowerment it brings, particularly for young parents. Danyelle shares her story through public speaking engagements, social media platforms, and community outreach programs, aiming to inspire and motivate others to pursue their dreams despite the challenges they may face.

Danyelle has achieved remarkable success in her academic journey, consistently maintaining high grades and actively participating in extracurricular activities. She has been recognized for her outstanding leadership skills, resilience, and determination. Danyelle is currently pursuing a degree in Political Science with a focus on public policy and aspires to make a positive impact in her community by working to make legislative changes. She plans to continue advocating for educational opportunities for young parents and hopes to establish a scholarship program to support others in similar situations.
