Undergraduate Student, University Innovation Fellow Fall 2014, University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill
Teerth is a junior at the University of North Carolina and is currently training to become a University Innovation Fellow. Teerth gained his initial experience managing non-profit projects at 16 when he helped organize Pay-It Forward tours for a Minneapolis based non-profit, Students Today Leaders Forever (STLF). Teerth is studying Environmental Science and Economics and also minoring in Entrepreneurship. Teerth hopes to gain an understanding of how energy technology can be used as tools for change within communities around the world. The community he is currently focused on is his campus community. Teerth is currently working on projects as a member of UNC’s Chapter of Engineers with Borders and TEDx. As a University Innovation Fellow, Teerth is looking forward to bringing an interdisciplinary Design minor to UNC to increase accessibility to innovation and technical based education within the university community. Once graduating from UNC – Chapel Hill Teerth hopes to pursue an advanced degree within Engineering and conduct research in the field of renewable energy.
