ABOUT:

Nicholas Hahn is a University Innovation Fellow and an undergraduate student studying Interior Architecture and Design at Colorado State University (CSU). His areas of focus include Residential Design, Textile Design, and Merchandising. He completed his primary education in Fort Collins, CO and graduated in 2010. After high school, he attended CSU for two years before taking a break from college to try new experiences.

He moved to Los Angeles, CA in 2013, where he found work in the entertainment industry as a costume assistant on a variety of film projects. After spending four years working and living on his own, Nicholas decided to return to Colorado and finish his degree in design. Since returning to school, he has received several awards for excellence in design. He also joined the NEWH student chapter on campus, which is a club focused on hospitality design within the interior design industry.

Outside of school, Nicholas is a dance instructor in Fort Collins, teaching all levels of dance students, ranging in age from four to 18. He has danced competitively for years, and now coaches several of his own competition teams that compete nationally.

WHY UIF?:

Nicholas has a fun and creative spirit and embraces new opportunities. He enjoys being a leader and communicating with others. One of his main goals for the future is owning and operating his own design business. He is driven to succeed and aims to stay on an entrepreneurial path. UIF helps him be more involved with innovation and entrenpreneurship, and it gives him the opportunity to practice on his campus.
