Bio

Melissia Law is a current candidate in the University Innovation Fellows Program at North Dakota State University. Originally from Greenfield, Indiana, she attended Purdue University in pursuit of her bachelors degree in Agricultural Education. During her undergraduate degree, Melissia had the opportunity to study abroad in Jamaica her freshman year. This opportunity changed the way she envisioned educational experiences for her own students and grew her passion for international work. Upon graduation, Melissia taught high school Agriculture for four years before returning to Purdue University for her Master's of Science in Education. While she is no longer in the K-12 classroom, Melissia will always have a passion for the students she serves.

In her current role, Melissia is responsible for providing academic and immigration advising services for students at North Dakota State University. As an International Student Advisor, Melissia has found a great balance between student service opportunities and international work. When Melissia is not tending to her students' needs, you can find her on the nearby golf course, kayaking the Otter Tail River, or mountain biking the Sheyenne National Grasslands.
