Jade Garrett is University Innovation Fellow from George Mason University Spring 2016. 

Her passion for change is focused on Entreprenurship and Makerspaces. Access to tools and technology inspires innovation.

What you are currently doing : Former General Manager of TechShop in Crystal City, VA an International makerspace chain (before bankruptcy in Nov. 2017) now she is 3D printing her 2nd child (Due Summer 2018) and working at Tritec Associates as an applications engineer importing woodworking manufacturing machinery.

Formerly : She started Mason's First Makerspace - MIX@Innovation Hall (Mason Innovation eXchange) with an amazing interdisciplinary faculty panel that sees the importance of giving students access to tools and tech to help break down any barriers that would otherwise hold them back from creating inventions that can change the world. 

She was previously on the Virginia Governor's Council for Youth Entrepreneurship along with Eliot Roth (UIF Fellow) and Keaton Wadinski (UIF Fellow).

She also has a - www.positivedeviancy.com - where they create interactive hardware for children on the Autism Spectrum.
