Currently a junior engineering major at James Madison University, which focuses on sustainability and design. Had a research opportunity at JMU last summer to learn modeling software and rapid prototyping hardware (3D printing, CNC machining, etc.). I setup the 3D Prototyping lab at JMU for the engineering department and I am fascinated by additive manufacturing. I am in the second semester of a two-year capstone project working with General Motors to develop a knowledge management system to detect failures in the systems and subsystems of their vehicles. Earlier this year I had the opportunity to attend the A2RU Emerging Creative Conference at Stanford University's d.school, which was a very eye-opening experience. In addition, I am working with the Leadership Circle at my university and the other students that went to the conference to promote innovation and entrepreneurship around our campus. In my free time I enjoy photography, snowboarding, tinkering with things, and being outdoors, especially mountain biking. I cannot wait to open this new chapter in my life!
