Ember Krech is a senior Mechanical Engineering student at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. She is passionate about helping and encouraging the people around her by providing new, exciting and innovative opportunities in all areas of life. She is a Student Operations Assistant and Mentor at the Aggie Innovation Space in the College of Engineering at NMSU, striving to promote creative thinking and entrepreneurship among fellow students. She has also worked in the Reduced Gravity and Biomechanics Laboratory as a Research Assistant on a project focused on integrating biomechanics into the engineering design of a gravity simulator. This project fueled her passion for a future in biomedical engineering and prosthetic development. In the near future, she hopes to continue her education and attend graduate school to study biomechanics.

Ember recently returned from a semester abroad in Odense, Denmark where she studied product design, development and incorporating business and marketing into the engineering design process. She caught a serious travel bug while abroad, and loves to see and experience new cultures all over the world. Outside of her studies, Ember enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family and friends, cooking, and reading (other than textbooks, of course).
