Chris Dinnis is an Innovation Fellow at the University of New Haven. He is a sophomore Electrical and Mechanical Engineering double major, and hopes to enter nanotechnology upon graduation. Chris is from Portland, Connecticut, where he attend Portland High School. Throughout his time there, Chris was the captain of the track and robotics team, played varsity soccer, and was the drum major for the school's marching band.

Chris also has a large background in the Boy Scouts of America. Having earned his Eagle scout in 2015, Chris is used to being a leader to those around him, and setting the example for younger scouts. His four years on summer camp staff have taught him the benefits of good teamwork, as well as all of the behind the scenes work that it takes to pull off a smooth program.

In college, Chris is active in his engineering classes, and pursues his love of innovation whenever he can. He was drawn to the Fellows program through its focus on building Entrepreneurial and Innovation skills. He hopes to be on the cutting edge of innovation in the future, and is currently working on pursuing a patent for one of his prototypes.
