2014 University Innovation Fellow

Brandon DuQuette is a junior in chemical engineering with a biomedical concentration at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. He is the membership committee chairperson for the American Institute for Chemical Engineers (AIChE) student chapter there and a member of the spring 2014 north central AIChE regional conference planning committee. When he is not active in student organizations he is performing research in the biomaterials research group at the Michigan Biotechnology Institute in East Lansing on bio-based polyurethanes and has presented posters on his work in biodegradation as well as biobased polyol synthesis. In the past he has been involved in a design program for the Research Center for People with Disabilities (RCPD) in designing an automatic ribbon cutter and been a part of a multitude of leadership development seminars including being a 2010 Junior Leadership Oakland graduate. Moving forward, Brandon will be completing an internship at Dow Corning in Midland Michigan in the summer of 2014.
