My entrepreneurial experience goes back to my junior year in high school when I started my first company. “Altronex” provided manufacturing services to two local companies in addition to preforming iPhones repairs for everyone at school. I am still “self employed” repairing iPhones on campus today.

After a scary personal experience during my senior year in high school, I came up with a concept for a medical emergency information system on which I filed a US provisional patent. I brought the idea with me to Georgia Tech in hopes of developing it further.

Before arriving at Tech, I accepted an invitation to join the first year of the Grand Challenges living, learning, and leading community. Last summer, I had two internships at ATDC with start-ups Sytheros and Soneter.

At the beginning of this school year, I started taking on more leadership responsibilities by becoming an executive member of En2Em as well as GT-MDEA (where I connected up with the Medicine 2.0 team over at Emory to gain more information on medical emergency services). I am also in the process of bringing Design to America to Georgia Tech.

I am presently involved in ThinkBig’s Sustainability and Outdoor Leadership Program and on the Sophomore Leadership Council as well.

This past winter, I was nominated to be a University Innovations Fellow to represent Georgia Tech. After a 6 week instructional course, we attended the Open 2014 conference. We are part of a national movement to ensure that students gain the necessary attitudes, skills and knowledge required for them to compete in the economy of the future.

I enjoy doing all of these things and while I have a lot on my plate, my academics are still my priority.
