In May 2018, he also graduated from YSU with his BSBA in Accounting. It was during that time as an undergraduate that Joey was exposed to the pilot design thinking course and was subsequently exposed to the University Innovation Fellows.</span></span>

He was also heavily involved with the Honors College during his undergraduate years. As a graduate student, he has become even more involved with the Williamson College of Business Administration as well as the Small Business Development Center located there, where he works.</span></span>
