At Beloit there are several options for students who need access to some sort of maker space. Just opened in the spring of 2016 is the BC MakerLab. The space contains two MakerBot 3D printers, a  3D scanner, a vinyl cutter, and other crafting tools. The science center, which just opened in 2009, has several labs that any student can get access to by either taking an intro level class or working with a professor who oversee's the equipment. Some examples of the types of equipment Equipment the students at Beloit College have access to are the particle accelerator, includes a scanning electron scanning microscope, and the 3D visulation display system, and many biological and chemical testing machines. There is also a machine shop that has with a huge vast amount of tools and machines that are capable of fabricating an entire car from scratch.

*In the past year we have brought a handful of speakers to campus and I want to increase that number greatly*Speakers provide a fantastic insight to the working world and encourage people to be active *Contacting the alumni office on campus to pull names and emails for potential speakers *Speak with Brian Morello and other leaders on campus to see if they would like to give a talk*Speak with local industry and companies to see if they could take time out of their day to give a presentation or talk *By bringing speakers to campus the goal is to encourage people to start their own ideas and ventures Beloit College Student Priorities
Invite more organizations and companies to lead Hack-a-thons on Campus University Innovation Fellows:
*As it stands, the hack-a-thon community at Beloit it lacking. It is present but weak. Spring 2016*Bring local tech companies to lead day long hack-a-thons at their leisure*Create interesting topics to have people think about and create a MVP for. *Show students the ease at which a venture can be started and remove the idea of it being daunting. *Make a community that encourages frequent creation and working together as teams. *Go out into the community of Beloit and lead community based hack-a-thons to encourage local creation and development.Thomas Porkka
Create a more engaging student base at CELEB:Spring 2015 Hunter Elbourn
*CELEB serves as a free space for creation and thinking. I want to increase the student population that attends and to bring a higher energy.Fall 2013*I want to create more projects that can be developed by multiple people. It won't rely on one person's particular skill set. *Encourage people to meet regularly and discuss viable business plan*Lead workshops where people can feel comfortable sharing their business ideas and ask for feedback. *Invite local business owners to talk about their business plan and how they continue to grow. *Overall, create a population on campus that gets excited about business and feeling comfortable talking about it.  = Landscape Canvas =    = Related Links =Ellery Addington-White
