*Make a dynamic enviornment for free thinking and encourages development.
Use dedicated funds to bring more speakers to campus :
*In the past year we have brought a handful of speakers to campus and I want to increase that number greatly
*Speakers provide a fantastic insight to the working world and encourage people to be active
*Contacting the alumni office on campus to pull names and emails for potential speakers
*Speak with Brian Morello and other leaders on campus to see if they would like to give a talk
*Speak with local industry and companies to see if they could take time out of their day to give a presentation or talk
*By bringing speakers to campus the goal is to encourage people to start their own ideas and ventures
Invite more organizations and companies to lead Hack-a-thons on Campus :
*As it stands, the hack-a-thon community at Beloit it lacking. It is present but weak.
Create a more engaging student base at CELEB:
*CELEB serves as a free space for creation and thinking. I want to increase the student population that attends and to bring a higher energy.*I want to create more projects that can be developed by multiple people. It won't rely on one person's particular skill set. *Encourage people to meet regularly and discuss viable business plan*Lead workshops where people can feel comfortable sharing their business ideas and ask for feedback. *Invite local business owners to talk about their business plan and how they continue to grow. *Overall, create a population on campus that gets excited about business and feeling comfortable talking about it.
