|title=Let's Play a Game
|content=<br>
Welcome to Week 1 of training! We’ve created a game that will help you learn new skills and tools to use during training and beyond. Each game “square” links to a challenge (plus a few surprises along the way). Double click on each square to reveal the challenge. Each challenge builds upon the last, so please try them all! <br><br>

Every Leadership Circle team member should play the game individually, but there are a few parts where you’ll want to connect with your teammates. <br><br>

When you access the game, if you don’t have an account on Mural yet, you may be prompted to create one or to “enter as a visitor,” as shown on the screen shot here below the game board. <u>'''Either option is fine and you can complete all the Mural challenges as a visitor if needed'''</u>. Later in the training, you should be able to access your team’s Training Workspace mural with your newly created account. <br><br>

|title=Team Reflections

We were so excited to see all of you dive into this new game we created! We hope it helped you to learn a little bit about the platforms and tools we’ll use during training.
<br><br>
If you haven’t checked out the [https://app.mural.co/invitation/mural/qfwfq7288/1629954207217?sender=laurie2504&key=9698b8ea-fc6f-462d-b1bc-e9ded0e329cd Training Mess-It Mural] recently, it’s awesome! Led by the banana discussion during Orientation, 2021 seems to be the year of food in UIF training. We got so hungry looking at this! <br>

You can learn so much about a person in three images! Here are just a few:

One of the Virtual Campus challenges was to share the ways your school has created virtual communities for students. It seems like almost all of your schools are taking advantage of platforms like Zoom, Canvas, WebEd, Slack, Discord and more. How we use these platforms is even more important, and it takes significant time and energy to design meaningful connections. Here are a few highlights from what you posted on the forum:
<br>
* Rudi Marciniak says, “UWM has an online ‘course’ on CANVAS called the ‘Virtual Student Union’ where students can access all of the resource centers that would usually be in-person. They also hold online events in the Virtual Student Union where students with common interests can gather.”
* Timotius Haniel says, “Institut Teknologi Harapan Bangsa has a mobile platform to be used by students and parents. This platform is called MyITHB. MyITHB has several features such as schedule list, billing, and study plan list. It really helps us to get information from the university staff.”
* Dana Bekdash says, “Our university highly encourages students to join clubs and societies to expand their social circles even with online classes. These clubs and societies are managed and run by AUB students, so communication is easy, welcoming and casual.”
<br>
Others noted opportunities for improvement, and some candidates are already working to meet these challenges. Sebastián Soto Mira says, “My team and I don't think our school created ways for us to interact, so we got the idea to create clubs and chats where people can interact with each other in a more direct way, share their ideas, network and, why not, make some friends. i.e a chat room, whatsapp group or discord for students in their second year at university.”

In other news: Stakeholder Meetings. Many of you have not shared a proposed date yet on your Training Workspace Mural. While we realize the dates may change slightly, picking a date shows us that you’re planning ahead, which is essential for ensuring successful attendance with your most important campus stakeholders. A good number of you have picked a date, and you did a great job roughing out the plans! Most of you selected dates in the first two weeks of October. Some of you submitted early September dates … you’ll need to go in and adjust that in the assignment submission page. Remember, the point of the stakeholder meeting is to get all the VIPs in a room toward the end of training so you may share your plans based on what you learn over the next several weeks.

Finally, here are the 10 winners of the UIF Monopoly quiz who were randomly selected from the huge list who got all the answers correct. Congratulations! If you're on a Zoom call with any of the winners, check out their virtual background to see their digital prize.
