==Bio==
Originally from fabulous Las VegasHey everyone, NV, Lina Lakoczky-Torres is an incoming junior at Menlo College studying business management with here’s a concentration in entrepreneurship and innovation. She's passionate little bit about destigmatizing mental health and its intersectionality between drug abuse, homelessness, and sex work. me! 💫
In the midst of I’m passionate about community engagement and public service, so much that I earned my Master’s in Public Administration from UNLV (Go Rebels❗️). Along the COVID-19 pandemicway, Lina founded I worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Menlo College Veg Club which works to bring awareness to the cruelty of factory farming Education and invites had a blast connecting with fellow students to expand their horizons with new foodsas a Grad Rebel Ambassador. With this, she also served as I'm currently working in the Menlo College Student Government Wellness Representative (2019-2020) and now holds Community Services & Engagement department at the position City of Resident Assistant. Constantly growing North Las Vegas, supporting vibrant events, meaningful outreach, and evolving, Lina uses these experiences to further understand the lived experiences of her projects that connect our community to effectively advocate for change where needed. valuable resources! 🤝🏼
LinaWhile working on my Business degree with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Menlo College 's long22, I had the chance to dive into many exciting projects, like founding The Veg Club, serving as Wellness Representative in Student Government, and being selected as a University Innovation Fellow through Stanford’s d.school -term goals include earning which helped me grow as a dual J.D./M.B.A. degree from UC Berkeley leader and running a noncreative problem-profit organizationsolver 💭 .
During this time, I interned for an exciting law/tech startup, HelloPrenup 💍, which was featured on Shark Tank! I also sharpened my advocacy skills 🗣️ through programs like Engaged Latina Leadership Activist (ELLA) and Policy, Advocacy, Leadership and Action (PALA) with the Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley.
