==Achievements==Outside of class, Jan had the opportunity to intern at the Fraunhofer institute for solar energy systems, Fraunhofer ISE, in the division of power electronics. He also worked as a tutor, because he could pass on what he's learned to other students.

==Bio==
Jan is a 24 year old student from Hamburg, Germany. He is Ever since he started school, he has been excited about math. It’s what initially drove him to start study engineering. Jan recently obtained his master's degree B.Sc. in General Engineering Science with a specialization in Renewable Energies Electrical Engineering at [https://www.tuhh.de/alt/tuhh/startpage.html Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH)] . He is about to start his master's degree in Renewable Energies in the Fall Term of 2021. Jan recently finished his B.Sc. in General Engineering Science with a specialization in Electrical Engineering, also at TUHH.
Growing up, Jan has enjoyed taking on various challenges in- and outside of school. This includes spending time abroad in the US during high school and college, completing his first middle distance triathlon and cycling through Germany from south to north together with a good friend.
