Fellow:Meenu Singh
Meenu is a senior majoring in Civil Engineering and seeking a minor in Philosophy at the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD). Meenu serves as Vice President of Academic Affairs for the Student Government Association, where she works to empower students to shape their academic experience. In Fall 2013, Meenu spearheaded UMD's Academy of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Student Design Team, a group of 20+ students from all disciplines that employ design thinking to shape the I&E landscape at UMD. In addition, she worked to design UMD's "Finals App" mobile application to students on campus and established an SGA partnership with UMD's Mobile App Developers Club. Meenu is also a part of the QUEST Honors Fellows Program, a three-year, team-based interdisciplinary honors program that teaches innovation, quality management, and systems thinking to students from the schools of engineering, business, and computer and mathematical sciences. Meenu hopes to spend her time post-graduation working in the field of higher education, bringing innovation and entrepreneurship into the classroom and making real-world, hands-on experiences the paradigm for learning.
