Aracely Mejia is a University Innovation Fellow. Aracely is a junior studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Computer Engineering. She is a First-Generation student from Mexican immigrant parents.
She is passionate about first-generation students and is currently a student coordinator at UP for the FGEN program. Aracely is heavily involved in STEM outreach for low-income schools in the Portland community. Through the National University Innovation Fellowship Program, she is working to impact a low-income high school with diverse students by providing a professional pre-health elective on the university campus. Aracely is always looking to do more because she wants a higher impact to happen, and she loves to learn and help her community and family.
