Elmer Raúl Escandón is a University Innovation Fellow and an undergraduate electrical engineering student at University of Technology and Engineering Careers (UTEC) in Peru. During his first year, Raul has been taking part of the innovation and entrepreneurship community (CIE) where he devotedly participated in several activities in order to foster his knowledge in I&E, not only for creating projects but also for spreading knowledge purposes. There, he participated in the University Innovation Fellow program.


At the UTEC mechatronics laboratory, Raul is currently participating in developing a bio-inspired gecko robot. Moreover, during his previous project, he wrote an academic paper about an educational approach for teaching freshmen students to develop artificial intelligence games for robotics (Delta Robot) implementations, this paper was presented on IEEE INTERCON 2018 in Lima, Peru.


When he was young, Raul enjoyed being surrounded by people as well help others to overcome adversity from that, in 2017 he took part of a clown community which helps vulnerable communities. Nowadays, Raul is currently involved in entrepreneurial activities since he is working on designing a solution for avoiding procrastination in undergraduate students, the group is conformed by different engineering and finance  undergraduate students who are looking for creating their first startup.
