Sumayyah is a junior in the Architecture program at Morgan State University, Baltimore, MD. Born and bred in Lagos, Nigeria, she has come to accept Baltimore as her home away from home.

Architecture school is full of difficult, growing and fun experiences. Sumayyah realized the importance of sharing those experiences, which led her to organize “A Day in the Life of an Architecture Student.” A program that exposed high school students to the ins and outs of architecture school

She is the president of Morgan’s AIAS chapter and the 2016 recipient of the AIABaltimore/BAF Fellows Leadership Award.

When she gets a break from studio, she loves to explore the city and try out new food.
