I am a second-year student dual majoring in Mechanical Engineering and STEM Education at Florida Tech. I am one of two presidents of the EMpwr student chapter sponsored by KEEN, promoting entrepreneurship in engineering. I am also a member of the Research in Information Science of Engineering (RiSE) lab. I grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and my love of the beach led me to Florida for school. I do not know what I specifically want to do after college, but I plan on working in the engineering field and then becoming a teacher in a beach town. I am excited to meet new people and work to make a positive impact through UIF.
