The following is a strategy undertaken by UIF Ben Matthews at University of Virginia to unite students leaders across campus to collaborate to enhance their shared interests in innovation:

Luncheons: We are using a rotational organization structure this semester where different departments and organizations take the lead on planning and running one of these meetings on a monthly basis.

-Snowball effect as more students taking part that are members of the different organizations
-Stakeholder buy-in as everyone is part of the planning and execution process

-Creative idea generation is spurred by the greater variety of perspectives taking part

Here is the innovation luncheon packet and folder. This is a super scalable idea that other schools could benefit from.

Here is the Tribal Leadership TED Talk. We've been trying to encourage movement from stage 3 "I'm great (and you're not)" to Stage 4 and 5 "We're great" and "Life is great" which we are finding more and more is important in making a huge impact like we are trying to do with #uifresh.

Best,

Ben
