Carly is a third year Biomedical Engineering student at Michigan Technological University. She is involved in a biomaterials research lab as well as GEAR Enterprise, a student engineering team working to improve and innovate outdoor recreation equipment. As a new University Innovation Fellow Candidate, Carly hopes to inspire students at Michigan Tech to do what they are passionate about and collaborate more across departments. She enjoys learning about other cultures and spent eight months living in Chile and Argentina in 2015. Her favorite things to do include practicing Spanish, rock climbing, snowboarding, and trail running.
