Bio

Emma Smith serves as the Operations Manager for the Office of Entrepreneurship & Innovation Partnerships and the Koffman Southern Tier Incubator at Binghamton University. An accomplished administrative professional, she brings extensive experience managing complex, high-priority projects in dynamic organizational environments.

In her role, Emma oversees operations across both the Office and the Incubator, driving strategic initiatives, strengthening organizational effectiveness, and ensuring alignment with institutional priorities. She has successfully managed multimillion-dollar projects funded by the U.S. Economic Development Administration, National Science Foundation, and Empire State Development, consistently demonstrating expertise in process improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and program execution.

In 2018, Emma was recognized as a Faculty Champion for a group of students participating in the University Innovation Fellows (UIF) program, highlighting her commitment to fostering student innovation and entrepreneurship. She has also served as a Regional Organizer for the Southern Tier in the New York Business Plan Competition for the past 10 years, run by Upstate Capital, supporting local entrepreneurs in developing and presenting their business ventures.
