Bio

Sapjah is a Junior Undergraduate student pursuing a BA degree in psychology, a minor in Sociology, and a minor in the psychology of sports & exercise. Her dream is to be a voice for marginalized communities and highlight the need for resources in both mental and physical health. Sapjah is a First-Generation Mexican-American student and part of the NIH-funded URISE Fellowship. She recently completed a summer research experience at Rice University. At Rowan, she was the President of the Sociology and Anthropology Club, President and PR of the Ballroom Club, the Risk Chair for ITSONUS, the only female wrestler, and a volunteer/manager of the GetFit program. Now she is the Vice president and PR of EPIC Movement, and the Historian for Tri-Alpha. Outside of school, she enjoys all kinds of art; whether it be photography, dancing, singing, or playing instruments for church! Behind the scenes, she provides ideas and assistance as an alumni leader for a non-profit organization called Forging Youth Resilience, and she has been doing CrossFit for 5 years.
