Changes

The [http://www.mines.edu Colorado School of Mines] is a public research university of engineering and applied science in Golden, Colorado.  

As of Spring 2014, the Entrepreneruship Entrepreneurship Club at mines is currently being restarted. The initial meeting showed ample support from students of all majors across campus. After seeing the initial support, steps are being taken by the faculty advisor to make the E-Club an official student organization which provides resources to make the club successful.

The Director Senior Design for Mechanical Engineering, Jered Dean, has taken steps to transform the mechanical engineering senior design lab into an open design lab that allows students to use equipment for any academic or personal project. The lab consists of 6 new makerbot 3D printers along with other prototyping eqiupment equipment in the basement of Brown Hall.

Several faculty members have separate businesses independent of the university. Overall, encouraging faculty innovation and entrepreneurship is not a primary focus of the universtyuniversity. There are no resources or initiatives for this category.
